Rowland Hall extends home losing streak to three

Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles

The Rowland Hall Winged Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by American Leadership Academy at home and fell 42-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rowland Hall has scored all season.

Quinn Orgain was Rowland Hall's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Alexa Tracy held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

American Leadership Academy can attribute much of their success to Zuri Smith, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Smith scored 15 or more points. Ali Decker was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.

Rowland Hall's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for American Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rowland Hall will take on Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for American Leadership Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maeser Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Maeser Prep Academy is ranked 133rd, while American Leadership Academy is ranked 119th).
