Football Game Recap: Lexington vs. Caldwell

While not quite a landslide, the matchup between Lexington and Caldwell on Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Lexington wrapped it up with a 42-27 win.

The match started off well for Lexington, whose offense put up 21 first-half points. Caldwell wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 7 to make it 21-7 heading into the break. The offense for Lexington continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away. The victory bumped their record up to 3-1. The loss dropped Caldwell's record to 1-4.

Lexington will be playing at home against Shiner at at 7:30 PM next week. Those two teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games. Caldwell will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Giddings in two weeks at 7:30 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
