Softball Recap: Saddleback Takes a Loss

Saddleback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 22-7 to Loma Linda Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Loma Linda Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-12 back in February.

Lizeth Melgoza and Amie Victoriano stepped up to the plate in a big way. Melgoza went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Victoriano went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Saddleback's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Loma Linda Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Saddleback will venture away from home to challenge Rancho Alamitos at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Roadrunners will need to watch out since the Vaqueros have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight contests. As for Loma Linda Academy, they will face off against Public Safety Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th.
