Baseball Game Preview: Spokane Owls vs. Ava Bears

Spokane has won three straight games at home, while Ava has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Owls will welcome the Bears at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Spokane needed a bit of extra time to put away Seymour. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 4-3.

Spokane saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Rantz, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Wyatt Sportsman, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ava got the win against Cabool on Thursday by a conclusive 10-3. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Spokane now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ava, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
