Football Game Preview: Shorecrest Prep Chargers vs. Foundation Christian Academy Panthers

Two dominant backs in Ke'Mon Dent and Tristan Cornish are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Shorecrest Prep Chargers will welcome the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shorecrest Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Damir Hooker out in front who rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns. The Chargers also got help from Decedric Dillard, who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shorecrest Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Academy at the Lakes only rushed for 79.

Shorecrest Prep's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. De'Shawyn Long refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Shorecrest Prep received some extra help from Damarion Feaster, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Foundation Christian Academy's offense. They were dealt a 32-0 loss at the hands of Bradenton Christian on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Foundation Christian Academy's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
