Baseball Game Preview: Ingraham Rams vs. O'Dea Fighting Irish

Ingraham hasn't had much luck against O'Dea recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will host the Fighting Irish at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Ingraham made easy work of Silas and carried off an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for Ingraham, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Blake Stauff looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brendan Doyle was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Campbell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, O'Dea beat Roosevelt 9-4 on Wednesday.

O'Dea pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ingraham, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Ingraham came out on top in a nail-biter against O'Dea when the teams last played last Monday, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Fighting Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
