Volleyball Recap: Jacksboro Starts off Right with Win over Chico

Jacksboro gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Chico Dragons 3-0. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

While Jacksboro won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-23.

Hayden Walker paced Jacksboro's offense, picking up 14 kills. Walker got some help from Brooke Reaves and her 16 assists.

Despite the defeat, Chico saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Camryn Sides had 14 digs, nine kills, two aces, and one block.

Coming up, Jacksboro will take on Electra in a tournament on Friday. As for Chico, they will host Bridgeport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
