Basketball Recap: Davie's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Davie unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-43 bruising from the East Forsyth Eagles. The War Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 58-54.

Despite the loss, Davie still got an impressive performance from Jackson Powers, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. The dominant performance gave Powers a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Bryson Mickey, who earned nine points.

Davie's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. As for East Forsyth, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Davie will venture away from home to face off against Reagan at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Davie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season. As for East Forsyth, they will welcome Mount Tabor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East Forsyth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
