Baseball Recap: Millikan Starts off Right with Win over Citrus Valley

Millikan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Citrus Valley Blackhawks 2-1.

Daunte Bell tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Millikan's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Pack, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Millikan will be taking part in a tournament against Santa Fe at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Citrus Valley, they have already played their next game, a 7-6 win against Rancho Cucamonga on the 19th.
