Landon Hiebert put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Monterey is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-24-1 otherwise.

Hiebert's effort led Monterey over Palo Duro and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
