Gibson Southern not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 23, 2024 (when they won 21-0). They blew past the Mt. Vernon Wildcats 14-4. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Seth Parsons was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Brayden Alldredge was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Gibson Southern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Gibson Southern and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibson Southern will venture away from home to challenge Evansville North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Vernon, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Harrisburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
