Heritage made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Evergreen, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Timberwolves were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Plainsmen on Monday. The Timberwolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Heritage moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Evergreen, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-3.

Heritage will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Plainsmen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
