Softball Recap: Buena Takes a Loss

Buena made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Simi Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Buena has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Simi Valley, they pushed their record up to 14-7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buena will face off against Pacifica at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tritons have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Simi Valley, they will challenge Oak Park at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
