Dynamic duo of George Sterr and Enrique Duboy lead Archbishop McCarthy to victory

On Thursday, Archbishop McCarthy earned a 64-54 win over Springstead. Given Archbishop McCarthy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Springstead is ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Archbishop McCarthy to victory were George Sterr and Enrique Duboy. Sterr scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals, while Duboy scored 22 points. Duboy hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Guy Twitty was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Springstead lost, one person who can't be blamed is Austin Nicholson. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with three steals. Nicholson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Sayre, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
