Basketball Recap: San Jose Takes a Loss

San Jose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They took a hard 59-45 fall against the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aztec Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Yerba Buena was led to victory by Brandon Tran and Andy Pham. Tran posted 21 points, while Pham earned 16 points. Tran's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Thien Nguyen, who had seven points.

San Jose's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Yerba Buena, they moved to 1-16 with that victory, which also ended their 17-game losing streak.

San Jose will venture away from home to face off against Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Hill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. Yerba Buena has already played their next game (against Del Mar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
