Softball Preview: Landstown Eagles vs. Salem Sundevils

Landstown is 8-2 against Salem since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Sundevils at 5:00 p.m. Landstown will be strutting in after a victory while Salem will be coming in after a defeat.

Landstown will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Tallwood, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with an 8-3 win over the Lions on Thursday.

At the plate, Adalyn Stumler was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Aleigh Earp also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Landstown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Salem fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Cape Henry Collegiate on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 17-8 to the Dolphins.
