Volleyball Recap: Riverton Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Riverton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Riverton never let St. Mary's-Colgan on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-16.

Avery Barnett paced Riverton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Barnett got some help from Ava Price and her 26 assists. Gracie Rantz controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Riverton's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Riverton will be taking part in a tournament against Baxter Springs at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they will be playing at home against Anderson County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
