Basketball Recap: Cunningham Takes a Loss

Cunningham lost against Central Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cunningham Wildcats were beaten by the Central Christian Cougars 54-25. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Cougars are ranked 106th).

Cunningham dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Central Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cunningham will challenge Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Christian, they will square off against South Barber at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Christian is facing South Barber at the right time seeing as South Barber is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
