Softball Recap: Ardmore Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Ardmore fell 8-4 to Deshler. Ardmore was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Deshler apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Ardmore has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Deshler, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ardmore will welcome Priceville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deshler, they will take on Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
