Soccer Game Preview: Middleton vs. Madison West

The Middleton Cardinals will take on the Madison West Regents at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Middleton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Oak Park-River Forest, who was ranked eighth in their home state at the time (Middleton was ranked seventh). The Cardinals came up short against the Huskies on Saturday, falling 4-0. The loss was Middleton's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Madison West's contest on Thursday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand Madison La Follette a 3-0 shutout. Madison West haven't had any issues with Madison La Follette recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Madison West hit Madison La Follette with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonah Wallace, Jose Perez Jimenez, and Liam Cahill.

Having lost for the first time this season, Middleton fell to 12-1-1. As for Madison West, their win bumped their record up to 8-0-1.
