Basketball Recap: Swanton's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The third road match was the charm for Swanton, as they earned their first road win of the season. They skirted past the North Central Eagles 27-25. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Swanton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jessica Finfera, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Finfera is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Bettinger, who had six points and three steals.

Swanton's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for North Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Swanton is taking a road trip to challenge Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Central, they will welcome Liberty Center at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
