Cranford waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Governor Livingston Highlanders with a sharp 7-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cougars have posted against the Highlanders since April 4, 2022.

Cranford's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Governor Livingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Cranford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-3 loss against Scotch Plains-Fanwood on the 17th. Hopefully Governor Livingston paid attention to the Cougars' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Cougars on Tuesday.
