Akron came out on top against Newfane on Monday thanks in part to Gavin Miller's efforts. Miller scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, which was good enough to set a new career-high in runs.

Miller's strong effort led Akron over Newfane and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are 8-2 against the Panthers going back to June of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
