Basketball Game Preview: East Lake Eagles vs. Sunlake Seahawks

The East Lake Eagles will square off against the Sunlake Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, East Lake turned things around against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate two weeks ago. They breezed by the Phoenix to the tune of 49-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since December 5, 2023.

Meanwhile, Sunlake took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 51-24 victory over Land O' Lakes. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Sunlake is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for East Lake, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

East Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against Sunlake in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, sneaking past 63-61. Will East Lake repeat their success, or does Sunlake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
