Basketball Game Preview: Marianna Bulldogs vs. Crestview Bulldogs

Marianna will take on Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Marianna has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Marianna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Cottondale to the tune of 76-44 on Tuesday. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.

Marianna had a senior duo take command as Jacobi Killings went 6-for-8 on his way to 14 points and three steals and Mason Mobley shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points and five rebounds. Mobley's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Knaus, who posted ten points.

Marianna smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Crestview didn't have quite enough to beat Pensacola on Friday and fell 65-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (61), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marianna, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Marianna beat Crestview 73-62 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Does Marianna have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crestview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
