Softball Recap: Point Arena Comes Up Short

Point Arena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hoopa Valley Warriors, falling 14-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 on Saturday.

Alexa Ferreyra was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Maya Paperny was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Point Arena now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hoopa Valley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Point Arena didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 24-14 win against Laytonville on the 23rd. As for Hoopa Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-2 victory against Trinity on the 24th.
