Basketball Recap: Steele's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Steele suffered their closest defeat since January 24th on Friday. They fell just short of the Elyria Catholic Panthers by a score of 69-66. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Steele fell to 2-1. As for Elyria Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steele will square off against Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elyria Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
