Basketball Game Preview: Somerset Briar Jumpers vs. Boyle County Rebels

The Somerset Briar Jumpers and the Boyle County Rebels will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Somerset had to suffer through a 68-40 loss at the hands of Casey County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Briar Jumpers have suffered against the Rebels since January 10, 2020.

Meanwhile, Boyle County ended up a good deal behind Whitefield Academy on Sunday and lost 56-40.

Boyle County's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Somerset, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Somerset was able to grind out a solid win over Boyle County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 49-37. Will Somerset repeat their success, or does Boyle County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
