Basketball Recap: Pace's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Pace came into Monday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 37-32 W over the Donna Redskins on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 38-33 back in December of 2024.

Pace got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilia Rodela out in front who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Bre Nelson, who went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points and five boards.

Despite the loss, Donna saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kstar Howell put up six points along with 15 rebounds and four steals.

Pace's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-18. As for Donna, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-13.

Pace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-31 win against Porter on the 24th. Donna has also already played their next contest, a 40-36 loss against Weslaco East on the 24th.
