Baseball Recap: Rice Takes a Loss

Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-3 loss last Tuesday.

Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Scurry-Rosser, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Rice wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Grandview on the 15th. Scurry-Rosser has also already played their next contest (against Ferris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
