Basketball Recap: Harding Falls to Chaney in First Game of Season

Harding unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 50-39 to the Chaney Cowboys on Friday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Myles Miller, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xavier Clark, who put up 13 points and five boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chaney to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Brown, who had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asuante Mickel, who scored 12 points.

Chaney has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Harding didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-30 win against Sharon on the 9th. As for Chaney, they have also already played their next contest, a 72-55 defeat against Alliance on the 6th.
