Volleyball Game Preview: DePaul College Prep Rams vs. De La Salle Meteors

The DePaul College Prep Rams will venture away from home to square off against the De La Salle Meteors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. DePaul College Prep will be strutting in after a victory while De La Salle will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, DePaul College Prep had just enough and edged out St. Laurence 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day DePaul College Prep got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 27-25, 22-25, 25-12.

Meanwhile, De La Salle didn't have quite enough to beat Montini Catholic on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Meteors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

De La Salle came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 10-25, 25-22.

DePaul College Prep's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for De La Salle, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

DePaul College Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over De La Salle in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
