Football Recap: Edison Eagles vs. McLean Highlanders

Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 34-14 to the McLean Highlanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 19-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Christian Mcneill was his usual excellent self, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns for McLean.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for McLean, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will challenge Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McLean, they will take on George C. Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McLean's defense has only allowed 16.8 points per game this season, so George C. Marshall's offense will have their work cut out for them.
