Football Recap: Samuel Fels Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Samuel Fels's offense. They lost to the Thomas A. Edison Owls at home by a 14-0 margin on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ahmir Ponder had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 118 yards on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 23 yards and one TD for Thomas A. Edison. Ponder didn't just play on offense: he also made one tackle and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Dre Smith also helped with two scores in total.

Samuel Fels now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Thomas A. Edison, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

As of now, neither Samuel Fels nor the Owls have any future games scheduled.
