Softball Game Preview: University School of Jackson Bruins vs. South Gibson Hornets

The University School of Jackson Bruins will challenge the South Gibson Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Things were looking good for University School of Jackson after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-5 to Chester County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

University School of Jackson saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsley Brady, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, South Gibson entered their tilt with Munford on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 14-1 victory. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.

University School of Jackson's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Gibson, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
