Softball Recap: Victoria West's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Victoria West won the last time they faced Fort Bend Kempner and things went their way on Saturday too. Victoria West put the hurt on Fort Bend Kempner with a sharp 18-1 win. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Keyanna Fillmore, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Karstyn Cann, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Victoria West now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Fort Bend Kempner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Victoria West is set to face off against their familiar foe Randle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fort Bend Kempner will take on rival Terry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
