Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moravian Academy). They snuck past the Palisades Pirates with a 64-59 win on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Palisades saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lincoln Cook went 12 for 27 on his way to 28 points and six rebounds. That was a full 47.5% of Palisades' points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Blake Oglialoro was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Moravian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Palisades, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Moravian Academy will take on Salisbury Township in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Palisades, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lehighton at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Palisades has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
