It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hamilton County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fairfield Mules, sneaking past 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Foxes: when they faced off against the Mules back in April, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

The team relied heavily on Addison Kelley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsie Ashcraft, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hamilton County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Hamilton County's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Fairfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

Hamilton County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 win against Frankfort on the 12th. As for Fairfield, they have also already played their next game, a 17-2 victory against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on the 12th.
