After flying high against Delhi last Thursday, Waterford came back down to earth. Waterford took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mesa Verde Mavericks on Saturday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mesa Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Waterford will venture away from home to square off against Modesto Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mesa Verde, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Newark Memorial on the 29th.
