Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Holy Family's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Holy Family can now relate to. They fell 53-45 to the University Bulldogs on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-38 back in February.

University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janay Kravig, who shot 63% from the field en route to 19 points. That's the most points Kravig has posted since back in December of 2023. Addison Harding was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

The loss snapped Holy Family's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-9 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.5 points. As for University, the win keeps them at an undefeated 27-0.

Holy Family does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University, they and Delta will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Delta will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something University surely won't give up without a fight.
