Picayune is 7-2 against Pascagoula since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Picayune will be strutting in after a victory while Pascagoula will be coming in after a defeat.

Picayune gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Poplarville by a score of 28-21. The Maroon Tide haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Pascagoula was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Gulfport and fell 53-13. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Picayune will have to contain La'Darion Pickett Jr. as he made an impact in Pascagoula's last game. He picked up 113 receiving yards and one score. Pickett Jr. showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 52 yards. D'Lass Nunnery also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.

Pascagoula's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Picayune, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Picayune beat Pascagoula 38-28 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Maroon Tide since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
