St. Charles North has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.82 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They put the hurt on the Geneva Vikings with a sharp 20-12 win. The North Stars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

St. Charles North got a massive performance out of Abby Zawadzki, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-5. Those three runs gave Zawadzki a new career-high. Jordyn McBride was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: St. Charles North lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
