Basketball Game Preview: Canarsie Wolfpack vs. Nazareth Kingsmen

The Canarsie Wolfpack will head out to take on the Nazareth Kingsmen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Nazareth is hoping to do what St. Bernard couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Canarsie's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Canarsie walked away with a 70-62 victory over St. Bernard.

Meanwhile, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Nazareth made off with a 59-58 win over Iona Prep.

Nazareth has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Canarsie, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Canarsie took a serious blow against Nazareth when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 77-47. Can Canarsie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
