It's playoff time, and Xavier College Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Queen Creek Bulldogs on Friday, sneaking past 1-0. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Not much got past Angie Falls, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Queen Creek off the board. Falls has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 20 consecutive appearances.

Xavier College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 22-5-4. As for Queen Creek, with the loss, they broke their 17-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-6.

Xavier College Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-2 defeat against O'Connor on the 14th. Hopefully Queen Creek paid attention to the Gators' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Gators at 8:00 p.m. on the 19th.
