Basketball Recap: Brownstown Central Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Brownstown Central won the last time they faced West Washington and things went their way on Saturday too. The Brownstown Central Braves blew past the West Washington Senators 67-41. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, West Washington still got an impressive performance from Meredith Deaton, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Deaton's afternoon made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Morrow, who posted four points.

Brownstown Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for West Washington, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brownstown Central has already played their next match (against North Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Washington will be playing at home against Borden at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Borden has four straight wins, West Washington has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
