Baseball Game Preview: Half Moon Bay Cougars vs. El Camino Colts

For the second straight game, Half Moon Bay will face off against El Camino. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Half Moon Bay has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Half Moon Bay and El Camino, and El Camino kept the tradition alive. The Cougars fell just short of the Colts by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Kai Kung was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Half Moon Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Heath, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

El Camino's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Half Moon Bay, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-16.
