Softball Recap: York Comes Up Short

Geneseo hit York with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Knights came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 12-1. The Golden Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for York and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Geneseo, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, York will venture away from home to challenge Warsaw at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Geneseo, they will host Lima Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
