Softball Recap: Foothill Tech Comes Up Short

Foothill Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs, falling 26-1. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Seraphs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Foothill Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for St. Bonaventure, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill Tech will welcome Bishop Diego at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for St. Bonaventure, they will be playing at home against Santa Clara at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Seraphs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
