Softball Recap: Wekiva Comes Up Short

Wekiva lost against Dr. Phillips back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 14-4 to the Panthers. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Camilla Delgado made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Tiquweshia Thomas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Wekiva's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Dr. Phillips, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Wekiva will take on Evans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dr. Phillips, they will square off against Celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
