Basketball Recap: Tecumseh Braves vs. Lanesville Eagles

The Tecumseh Braves lost against the Lanesville Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Tecumseh fell 59-49 to the Eagles. Tecumseh has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lanesville was led to victory by Braydon Hodges and Brady Elias. Hodges dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Elias scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Elias has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gene Klusmeier, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Tecumseh has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Lanesville, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14.

Tecumseh will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Chargers at 8:00 p.m. Pike Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Braves in Indiana (the Chargers are ranked 152nd, while the Braves are ranked 373rd). As for Lanesville, they will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Washington is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
